This is the inaugural post for WesterlyLife.com and I would just like to say thank you for taking the time to read it. This is a new venture that will create a digital identity for the Westerly, RI area. This is not the first time this has been attempted. Where other sites like this one have failed in the past, this one will improve upon.
Previously, other people have been trying to give the people of the area what they thought they wanted. This led to sites that were ‘bloated’ and unusable, and rather than focusing on the user experience, they focused on making money. While we all need to make a living, the current model is information based. This is the mission of WesterlyLife.com.
We are going to provide information to the masses on a variety of subjects and areas of concern. This information will all be located in a centralized spot and be accessible from any Internet connected device. The information will be linked to social media so you will always be kept abreast of what is happening in your community. This is just the beginning.
The topics of conversation will be many and varied. We will highlight new & existing businesses, people in the community, politics, restaurants, community events and/or whatever interests you. We welcome ideas for articles from you and we will do our best to accommodate the masses.
Our goal is to keep the blog free and the conversations flowing. Every article will be able to handle conversations so people can interact and get involved. The site will be funded by the sponsoring businesses in the Westerly area via the business directory and the event calendar.
