The Spa at Westerly Fitness

We are happy to announce that our Spa is now open! As a facility focused on wellness, we felt that it’s important to incorporate massage therapy into our amenities.

What are you looking for in your massage? There are many benefits to massage therapy including:

  • Reduces anxiety and depression
  • Relieves muscle tension
  • Eases the severity of headaches
  • Enhances your quality of sleep
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Relaxes and softens muscles
  • Increases flexibility
  • Improves overall sense of well being

The different types of massage services that we offer are:

Swedish: A traditional full body massage using long, soothing strokes to promote relaxation, increase circulation, and relieve muscle tension. Light to medium pressure

Deep Tissue: Focusing on specific areas in the deeper layers of muscle tissue, slow strokes and deep direct pressure release chronic patterns of tension, reducing pain and tightness

Shiatsu: (finger pressure) A fully clothed massage that uses thumbs, fingers, elbows, and knees to concentrate pressure at certain energy pathways in the body called meridians. This massage works to reduce muscle tension and fatigue and is thought to improve blood circulation in the body

Hot Stone: Hot stone massage melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation
