Cheryl DeCaro of High Street Skincare Boutique has been practicing as an aesthetician for nineteen years and has been working in the High Street location for three years. “We love it here,” she said. “I’ve always loved the beauty industry, and I love being able to help people look good and feel good.”

To that end, High Street Skincare offers a variety of facials catered to your skin’s individual needs, including peels, collagen, microdermabrasion. They also offer full body waxing, eyelash extensions and makeup applications for a variety of occasions, and Jane Iredale’s makeup line available to purchase in store.

Tina Pagliusi is Cheryl’s office and sales assistant. They met when Tina began coming to get lash extensions and soon became such good friends that Cheryl offered her a job. “It’s so much fun working together,” Tina shared.

Tina also spoke with me about Lipsense, which she calls the latest craze in lip products. “It’s an all natural, vegan, gluten-free lip paint that stay son for 18 hours, so it’s easy and convenient to look good all day long.”

Cheryl DeCaro’s Tips

  • Have separate routines for different seasons – winter should be about hydration and protection
  • Break out your heavier products
  • Hydrate your skin before applying moisturizers
  • Find night creams and serums with hyaluronic acid

High Street Skin Care will be expanding and moving to Wells Street in April, becoming thereafter known as Wells Street Skincare and Spa. In the new location, they will be able to offering more technicians and the latest services from head to toe, including massage, body treatments, and facials, so keep your eyes open and your calendars clear!

Cheryl was kind enough to give me several samples to test out at home, and all of which I loved.

  • SkinCeuticals – Gentle Cleanser Cream, which is a mild cleanser for sensitive skin of all types
  • SkinCeuticals – Hydrating B5 Masque, which is an intensely hydrating mask for all skin types that helps combat both acne and aging
  • SkinCeuticals – Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2, which is an anti-aging lipid replenishment treatment suitable for all skin types
  • SkinCeuticals – Hydrating B5 Gel, which is an oil-free hydrating serum
  • B. Kamins – Bamboo & Rice Facial Polisher, which is a gentle exfoliator that clarifies skin damaged by age or other elements
For my part, I have very sensitive skin prone to breakouts, but these treatments didn’t irritate my skin at all or cause any inflammation as they were gentle and not overly perfumed but still effective at increasing and maintaining the moisture content of my skin.
